Update on the 31 Sand Road Proposal - Continuing Community Dialogue

Dear Residents of Holland Landing,

We appreciate the strong participation and engagement from the community at the Community Information Meeting (CIM) held on October 1, 2025, regarding the proposed development at 31 Sand Road. The feedback and perspectives shared during and after the meeting have provided valuable insight into the community’s priorities and expectations.

Following the CIM, our development team, property owners, and consulting partners have been reviewing the feedback in detail and assessing where practical refinements can be made. Several comments focused on traffic, landscaping, neighbourhood fit, and site access, and we are actively evaluating alternative design and planning options to explore practical solutions and address as many of your concerns as possible.

Over the past several days, our team has been evaluating multiple design and planning options to reflect your feedback — including adjustments related to traffic, landscaping, neighbourhood compatibility, and site access. We will be in close discussion with local residents, Town staff, and local councillors to ensure that any refinements are meaningful and achievable. While the process takes time due to the required technical reviews and municipal coordination, we remain fully committed to advancing these options in good faith and with full transparency.

As part of that commitment, we requested a short extension to the date of the upcoming Public Meeting to allow time to incorporate community input into updated plans. Town staff advised that, procedurally, such an extension could not be accommodated within the current schedule. Nonetheless, our intent remains to continue refining the proposal and working with all stakeholders in good faith throughout the process.

To facilitate direct and ongoing communication, we are launching a dedicated project website — www.31sand.ca — which will serve as a central hub for:

  • Posting project updates and milestones;

  • Sharing some revised concepts for community consideration as they become available; and

  • Providing an email contact for questions and comments.

Our goal is to maintain a clear and open channel with residents as we continue through the next stages of the planning process. We are confident that through continued dialogue and collaboration, we can achieve a balanced outcome that respects the existing character of Holland Landing and contributes positively to its future growth.

Sincerely,
The 31 Sand Road Project Team
